Christmas Eve Service
Branch of Hope will hold our annual Christmas Evening service beginning at 5:00pm on Saturday, December 24th. This is a wonderful opportunity to bring friends and family to hear a Christmas message. Pastor Paul will be delivering the message.
Note: We will have our normal worship service on Christmas, December 25th. Sunday School is canceled on Christmas morning.
Branch of Hope Annual Meeting
Branch of Hope will hold its annual meeting on Sunday, January 29, during the Sunday school hour. Please plan to attend since this is an important event for our church family where we will review the budget and elect officers.
Men’s Breakfast, Jan. 14
The next Men’s Breakfast is scheduled for 9 A.M., Saturday, January 14, at Branch of Hope Church. There will be a short lesson and men of all ages are welcome to attend. Call Dan Lampkins for more information, 310-324- 0969.
Missions Movie Night
Thank You Event Jan. 14
Free popcorn, drinks and Star Wars will highlight a Missions Movie Night Thank You, hosted by the people who participated in short term missions n 2011. Showtime is 7 P.M. at church with Bugs Bunny Cartoons as an introduction.
Missions Presentations, Jan. 15
The participants in short term mission’s trip in 2011 will give presentations on their trips during the Sunday school hour.
Sunday Evening Class
Infant Baptism Series
Pastor Paul will teach a four week series on infant baptism on Sunday evenings, starting on Sunday, January 15, 2012. The class will begin at 6 PM and will end at 7:30 PM. This is a great opportunity to get answers on this controversial subject.
Logos West Winter Retreat ñ 2012
For Singles
The Logos West Winter Retreat is scheduled for Thursday, January 5th to Saturday, January 7th at Pine Summit Christian Camp in Big Bear. The keynote speaker will be Rev. Danny Hyde. Rev. Hyde is the pastor of the Oceanside United Reformed Church in Carlsbad/Oceanside, CA . The Southern California Reformed Fellowship is offering $70 sponsorships for the retreat. Sock Wars
All Branch men, along with their male children, are asked to "Take up Arms Socks" to help replenish the sock supply at the Beacon Light Mission. We will use the socks as "ammunition" on the Branch Battlefield for another historic Sock War event. The battle is planned for Saturday, January 28, from 7-9 P.M., at church. Please bring a package of socks to donate. Our mission for the night is: to collect socks for Beacon Light Mission, invite our friends along with male kids to participate in the war, invite the kids that your kids hang out with and get to know them and play sock games.
